Stewarding

A Club meet or Temporary Holiday Site (THS) relies entirely on the dedication of members willing to serve as Stewards. It's a pivotal role, carrying significant responsibilities. Stewards are responsible for managing member arrivals, collecting site fees, and occasionally disbursing payments to the landowner. Promptly resolving any issues that may arise is also part of their duties. Beyond these tasks, Stewards play a crucial role as ambassadors, extending warm welcomes to newcomers within the District Association (DA), Region, or Special Interest Section social camping community, ensuring they feel at home and settled into the meet from the outset.

Whats Included / Duties?

Free Camping
Enjoy complimentary camping throughout the entire duration of the meet as a token of appreciation for fulfilling the steward role.
Welcome & Hospitality
Extend a friendly welcome to all attendees, particularly newcomers, and assist them in getting settled into the meet and camping area, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within the camping community.
Meet Coordination
Manage member registrations, collect site fees, and coordinate with the landowner regarding site arrangements and payments.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure that attendees adhere to site rules and regulations, addressing any safety concerns or emergencies that may arise during the meet.
